Yamaha has scooped both South Africa's off-road titles as champion Jade Gutzeit road to victory over the weekend - during the inaugural Vrefefort 400.
It was the third win of the season for the rider and ensures he retains poll position into 2012.
Meanhwhile, Gutzeit's Yamaha teammate Brian Baragwanath was the first quad rider to cross the line - also claiming his third win of the season.
According to Independent Online Motoring, Gutzeit took the lead in the last of four laps to scoop the Open Class Championship.
The heated battle between Gutzeit and Louwrens Mahoney - another Yamaha rider - ended in disaster for the latter, who bailed out, injuring his knee in the process.
Gutzeit is one of Yamaha South Africa's Local Heroes. The firm claims that he lives and breathes off-road motorbiking, taking his GTR-R34 out for a spin even on his day off.
The biker also cycles a lot as a means of keeping fit, which he claims boosts his overall racing performance.
