Shark helmets users might be looking to head to Brussels on November 22nd to join a number of motorbike riders who are staging a protest rally over the proposed restrictive measures due to be implemented by the EU.
Riders are due to meet at the entrance to the European Parliament on Place du Luxembourg 1050 Ixelles, Brussels in the early afternoon, before embarking on a five-mile route through the city.
Under the new guidelines bikers wouldn't be able to tune their vehicles as onboard diagnostic systems on new bikes could be able to detect non-standard parts and trigger a warning light until fixed by a dealer.
The rally is backed by the UK's biggest rider group the British Motorcyclists Federation and Chris Hodder of the organisation told Motorcycle News: "Everyone should have the freedom to modify their own vehicles if they choose to."
UK Independence Party MEP Marta Andreasen also supports the rally and said earlier this month that the proposed new rules show a distinct lack of understanding of how motorbikes work.
