Autocom PTT (Push To Talk) Switch (2009)

Usually you will require both these leads, as the standard 2009 Autocom kits do not come with either included.

You will also require a compatible Autocom bike to bike lead for your radio.

Adding PTT (Push-to-talk) to your new Autocom 2009 system (Logic, Logic Independence Wireless or Super Pro Automatic) will allow you to switch between three modes using a simple toggle switch mounted under the PTT button. If you have a Logic or Logic Independence Wireless this will convert your hub to run from bike power.

PTT

When in PTT mode, both you and your passenger can have private conversations without the VOX automatically transmitting every word over the radio. The PTT button (The big round red button) allows you to transmit whenever you like, even when in a phone conversation!

VOX

When in VOX mode the Autocom unit will transmit your voice and your passenger's voice automatically whenever you speak.

Constant

This mode is usually used only by professional riding instructors to give a constant running commentary to students. Some radios cut off automatically after a period of time, so please check your radio manual to see if this mode is available on your radio.

Two Part System

Fitting the PTT lead to your bike requires two parts. A bike side lead and an Autocom side lead. The two leads are connected by two large red connectors. Making it easy to disconnect the autocom from the motorcycle (Leaving the PTT switch and 12v supply on the bike)

Bike Side PTT Lead (2432)

This lead has the handle bar mounted PTT control, a large red connector and two wires for connecting to your motorcycles battery. The PTT control is mounted to your handle bar using the provided cable ties, the two 12v wires connect to your motorcycle battery and the large red connector mates with the large red connector of the Autocom side lead (2430, see below)

Autocom Side Power Lead (2430)

This lead (400mm) has an internal white 9 pin connector that fits inside your 2009 Autocom unit and a large red connector the fits to the bike side PTT lead (2432).
